This arrived in the mail today. I wasn’t expecting it for any number of reasons, not the least of which being that I instructed the University to send it to my parents’ home in the US, but since it’s Glasgow Uni we’re talking about, I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised that they didn’t manage to get it right. Don’t really know what to think about it. For one thing, it should read “Daniel Thomas Ashton Rhodes,” again like I requested, but see above comment on that. I suppose I’m greatful that it sounds so positive. Like I actually earned something rather than subtly implying somehow that I failed the course (which I technically did).
So, I now have a post-graduate diploma. I wonder if that gives me any letters after my name? D.T.A. Rhodes, SoB perhaps? Still not as nice sounding as the likely out-of-reach Dr. D.T.A. Rhodes, PhD. Eh, I’m not really patient enough anyway! Hell, I’m getting tired of even this course, and I’m not even half way through it yet! Probably a good thing if I don’t go starting another one.
That’s all really. Just wanted to show off my new credentials. Hope you’re all well!
