It sounds so very hipster to say, but I started blogging back before the word had even been coined. It was in the late 90’s and I was away at college in Southern California. I was finding it difficult to keep all of my friends and family updated with what was going on in my life, so I started a simple HTML-based page, which I taught myself how to code with a bit of help from my roommate.
That page is (thankfully) lost to the chaos of Internets past. Over the intervening years, my various personal sites have undergone a huge variety of iterations as the need arose.
Sometimes going offline entirely.
And yet the need to write always comes back.
So here we are again. In this blog I have gathered bits and pieces, posts and pages from at least three other projects over the past decade or so. There’s no real rhyme or reason to what made the cut. Just things that I laughed at or which made me remember things.
Me? I am currently in my mid-30s. I am happily married and I have two kids, one of whom is crying her fool head off right now because I had the nerve to put her down for no reason at all. I have a good enough life that I know that even though everyone’s problems are big to them, I still know that my own are minor when it comes to the big picture . . . I know. Zen, right?
So that’s me! Hope you enjoy the show.
